We had a great family home evening tonight with the kids, paryse gave a great lesson on why we don't use bad language, and layne did a fun activity for valentines day. After fhe the kids wanted to know what things they did first in the family, i told melania that she was able to talk in sentences before she was 2, scott was the youngest to walk, he was 9 months old. Paryse could sing entire songs in tune before she was 2, layne - who was our sick child with chronic asthma - was empathetic from a young age. Atawhai is the biggest for his age in our family and very strong for his age and bella? Well she is chocka block filled with character!

P.S They won!
We went and watched Ed play basketball tonight. This is the first season he has played in almost 10 years, and he's really enjoying it. Me and the kids have watched a few games and they really enjoy watching their daddy run around the court, sweating all over the place LOL. (I must get him some of those wrist band sweat stopper things). I'm so glad he's finally doing something for himself, he is such a selfless husband and father. The kids and I always come first. In fact, I cannot tell you the last time he bought himself a brand new item of clothing, he works hard and never complains that he has to ring to get the number for our bank account LOL. The kids and I are so completely blessed. They love their daddy so much, in fact tonight when he came home, Bella (who's almost 2) ran out the door with her hands stretched as far as they would go, squeeling "DADDY!" at the top of her little lungs. He picked her up and hugged her so tight, and even Dora got a little hug. It's those little moments in life that make you feel soooo good.

Kids chores
Ed made up a new chores chart and the kids are really loving it. We talked about it for family home evening with the kids and how it helps them and us. I think one of the major differences with this chore chart is that edwin has included him and myself in the chart, also he has split up all the different chores for each room and put them in the area or room they are in charge of for that day. So far so good!
